Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the LEOMEE website and mobile application.

By accessing or using the platform, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Platform Overview

LEOMEE is a social networking platform primarily designed for students to interact, share content, and communicate with other users.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the platform.

3. User Accounts

• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
• Users are responsible for all activities conducted through their accounts.
• Accounts must not be shared or transferred.

4. Acceptable Use — Prohibited Content

In line with Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information that:

• belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
• is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, libellous, racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence, or encourages money laundering or gambling;
• is harmful to children;
• infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;
• deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature;
• impersonates another person;
• threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognizable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to any other nation;
• contains a software virus or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
• violates any law for the time being in force;
• is synthetically generated (including by AI) and presented in a manner intended to deceive, without being labelled as such.

You must also not distribute spam, attempt to hack or disrupt the platform, or harass or bully other users.

5. User Generated Content

• Users retain ownership of content they upload.
• By posting content on LEOMEE, users grant the platform permission to display, store, and distribute that content as necessary for platform operation.
• Users are solely responsible for their content.

6. Content Moderation

• LEOMEE reserves the right to review, remove, restrict, or disable access to content.
• Content may be reviewed when reported by users or when necessary to protect platform safety.

7. Reporting System

• Users may report posts, profiles, or other content that violates platform rules.
• Reports will be reviewed and appropriate action may be taken.

8. Account Suspension

• LEOMEE may suspend or restrict accounts that violate platform rules.
• Repeated violations may result in permanent account removal.

9. Account Termination and Data Removal

• LEOMEE reserves the right to permanently delete accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
• Associated content and data may also be removed from the platform.
• Users may request account deletion by contacting the platform.

10. Platform Availability

LEOMEE may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

LEOMEE is not responsible for:

• User generated content
• Disputes between users
• Loss of data caused by user actions
• Temporary service interruptions

12. Intellectual Property & Copyright Complaints

• The platform design, branding, and system are owned by LEOMEE.
• Users may not copy or reproduce platform content without permission.

If you believe content on LEOMEE infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, report it using the in-app Report option (reason: "Copyright / IP Infringement") or write to the Grievance Officer with: (a) identification of the work claimed to be infringed, (b) the URL or location of the infringing content, (c) your contact details, and (d) a statement that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner. Verified infringing content will be removed or disabled, and repeat infringers' accounts may be terminated.

13. Subscriptions, Payments & Refunds (Purple Tick)

• The "Purple Tick" is a paid subscription badge. It indicates an active subscription only — it is not identity verification and does not certify that an account is authentic, notable, or who it claims to be.
• Purchases are processed through Google Play. Prices, billing periods, and any free-trial terms are shown at the point of purchase.
• You can cancel at any time; the subscription remains active until the end of the period already paid for. Cancellation and refunds for Google Play purchases are governed by Google Play's refund policy; statutory refund rights under Indian consumer protection law are not affected.
• If a subscription is charged in error or the service is not provided, contact contactleomee@gmail.com — payment disputes are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days.
• Creator payouts are governed by the Creator Terms.

14. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of appropriate courts in India.

15. Changes to Terms

• These Terms may be updated periodically. We will notify users of material changes in the app or by email, and in any case at least once every year as required by Rule 3(1)(f) of the IT Rules, 2021.
• Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of updated Terms.

16. Grievance Redressal (IT Rules, 2021)

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, LEOMEE has appointed a Grievance Officer. Users may raise complaints about content on the platform, violations of these Terms, or any other grievance relating to the platform.

Timelines under the Rules, which we follow:

• Every complaint is acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt, with a reference number.
• Complaints are resolved within 15 days of receipt.
• Complaints concerning content that exposes private areas, shows a person in full or partial nudity or in a sexual act, or is in the nature of impersonation (including morphed images) are actioned within 24 hours of the complaint.

You may also report content directly in the app using the Report option available on posts, comments, and profiles, and block any user from their profile.
